He’s happy enough to accept an offer of unpaid assistance from the down-and-out Kenny—played by Michael Pitt, anticipating his pairing with Buscemi in "Boardwalk Empire"—but turns bitter when the young man miraculously becomes entangled with a pop starlet (Alison Lohman).
