Directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa | 113 mins | 2024
For this handsome remake of his own 1998 micro-budget thriller, Kiyoshi Kurosawa transposed the action from Japan to France and enlisted the talents of some of the country’s finest actors, including Grégoire Colin and Mathieu Almaric. Albert (Damien Bonnard) is a man undone by the gruesome murder of his young daughter, which he believes was perpetrated by a shadowy organization. Seeking revenge, he finds an eerily composed accomplice in the psychiatrist Sayoko (Ko Shibasaki).
